Closing Ceremony 2008
The last day of school for 2007-2008 will be June 11 with a noon dismissal. The awards assembly will begin at 10:45 AM for grades 1-5 in the Boyer. Parents are welcome to join us for this event. Awards will be given by each classroom teacher as well as each special class teacher. Students have been observed all year to decide who is deserving of these special awards.
Scrip - Summertime Edition
Scrip will continue over the summer! Anyone wishing to order Scrip over the summer must order online and MUST use the new “Presto Pay” option. DO NOT SEND CHECKS OR CASH. The “Presto Pay” information is listed on the left column when you sign in. There are easy instructions on how to enroll which you must do before placing your first order. The orders will be placed on June 12 & 26, July 10 & 24 and August 7 & 21. Mindy Kellogg will receive the orders and deliver them to the school by Friday of the week after the order is placed. It will be the purchaser’s responsibility to pick up the Scrip and deliver the $1 shipping fee to VCS. If you have questions, please e-mail Mindy: redmink@verizon.net.
VCS Yearbook
We have seven copies available of this year’s yearbook ($15.). If you would like one from last year as well, please let us know. They can be ordered! Please contact Mrs. Bodenheimer!
Iowa Tests
Iowa Tests of Basic Skills…Grade 3-6 scores have arrived for standardized testing. Parents of these students should expect a letter from Mrs. Caler and the results within the next week. We are very pleased with the results once again this year! Valley Christian School continues to have a good solid academic program and teachers who know their students’ learning styles.
The Bravo Foundation
Scholarship Opportunities…The Bravo Foundation in Harrisburg will offer preschool scholarships to VCS preschoolers who qualify. Interested families should contact Mrs. Caler at calers@vcs-hvpc.com to obtain an application.
