are located in the foyer. See Annette Tusing if you have any questions.
Thank you for telling others about VCS in this way.
Book Fair
The 2008 Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you to the many helping
hands that contributed to it’s success. Our total was $2,083.66! We will
receive approximately $1000 in a coupon voucher to use for books and other
resources. Thank you for your generosity toward the teachers’ wish lists
and for continuing to encourage a love of reading in your children. The
money collected for admission to the Magic Show went toward our One for
Books collection for a total of $116! This means that Scholastic Books
will donate 116 books to three children’s charities and $116 was added to
our book sale amount. Art Exhibition
May 7 will be our annual art Exhibition featuring every student’s art
work over the year. Join us as we convert the auditorium into our own VCS
art museum, with refreshments, and fine music, as well as a talk from Miss
Atwood and the students about what art looks like at VCS! A lovely evening
is planned. If you would like to help, please contact Miss Atwood through
the school office. Reenrollment

Coin Crawl
Valley will once again conduct a Coin Crawl, beginning March 3rd. What
is this you ask? Well, Valley students are challenged to do odd jobs and
chores around the house to earn change. They bring that change to school
and put it in the coin crawl jug. At the end of 3 weeks the students have
an afternoon of fun trying to line up the coins and see which grade has
the longest line! The money is then donated to charity. This year it will
be going to the Whosoever Gospel Mission in Philadelphia and an elementary
school in Santa Maria, Nicaragua. Mrs. Bodenheimer participated in a VBS
in Santa Maria this past summer and witnessed the severe poverty of the
children. Please send in your milk jugs for the Coin Crawl.
Yearbook Committee
The Yearbook Committee will be looking for pictures!!!! If you have

Creative Financing
In an effort to see that a Christ-centered education is available to
every interested applicant, Valley has explored many different ways in
which to subsidized the cost of education. We are fortunate in that we
only have one direct appeal for contributions each year through our Race
for Education. Our PTF has explored a wealth of different programs that
provide financial assistance without asking you to sell, beg or borrow.
